PRAYER FOR OUR FAMILY
Dear Lord, I pray for __________ from head to toe.
Our Mind - That we will have the mind of
Christ and think as the Holy Spirit would lead us and not the flesh. (1 Corinthians 2:16). Help us to fix our
thoughts on Jesus today. May we make Jesus the center piece of everything we
believe and think.
Our Eyes -That You will keep our eyes from
temptation and that we will turn our eyes from sin. (Matthew 6:13; Mark 9:47). Prompt us to pay attention to what we look at
today and alert us to the devil’s tempting tactics to draw our eyes to sin.
Empower us to have restraint and show self control by turning our eyes away
from temptation and thus escape the enemy’s trap.
Our Ears – That we will hear Your still small
voice instructing us. (1 Kings 19:12, Psalm 32:8)
Our Mouth -That our words will be pleasing to
You. (Psalm 19:14)
Our Neck - That the decisions that turn our
head will honor You in all regards. (Psalm 25:12)
Our Shoulders - That we will not carry burdens and
worries on our own shoulders, but trust that nothing is too hard for You. (Genesis 18:14; Jeremiah 32:17). Empower us to cut the chords of worry
with the saber of praise and to place our burdens on Your able shoulders.
Our Heart -That we will love and trust You
with our whole heart. (Deuteronomy 6:5, Proverbs 3:5). Place a hedge of protection around our
heart to keep corruption out and purity in.
Our Back - That You will protect us from harm
in the spiritual and physical realms. (Deuteronomy 23:14 NLT).Keep us from the devil’s scheme
that would attempt to trap or trip us up. Thank You Lord that no weapon formed
against us shall prosper.
Our Arms - That You will be our strength. (Psalm 73:26). Help us to be strong and courageous in Your
mighty power. Bolster our courage when we are afraid and reassure us when we
doubt.
Our Hands - That we will enjoy the work of our
hands and see it as a gift from You. (Ecclesiastes 3:13, 5:19). Bless the
work of our hands. Reward our efforts and bring us success.
Our Side - That we will have godly friends
who hold us up and spur us on. (Proverbs 27:17; Proverbs 12:26)
Our Legs - That we will stand firm on the
truth, knowing that if we do not stand firm in our faith, we will not stand at
all. (Psalm 62:6; Isaiah 7:9)
Our Knees - (James 4:10; Joshua 1:8-9)That we will humble ourselves before You and be strong, courageous, and careful to do everything written in Your Word so that we will be prosperous and successful.
Our feet - That You will order our steps, and
that we will walk in Your truth. (Proverbs 4:25-27;).May Your spirit guide us to
walk in the way You have commanded us so we may live, prosper and prolong our
days. Hem us in so we will not veer to the right or to the left but will keep
our feet on the path You have marked out for us.
